DES MOINES – Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate launched a new campaign ad on statewide television. The ad, entitled “Referee” stresses on the importance of conducting elections in a bipartisan manner.
“My opponent has zero experience overseeing elections or working across the aisle. She was a campaign operative for Barack Obama. Now, ultra-partisan Democrats in the U.S. Senate, presidential hopefuls and liberal special interest groups are pouring money into her campaign,” Pate said. “Iowa doesn’t need Washington, D.C. liberals meddling in our elections.”
Paul Pate was chosen by the bipartisan National Association of Secretaries of State as their President-elect. Pate works with all 99 county auditors to make it easy to vote, but hard to cheat. He has implemented online voter registration, the Safe at Home address confidentiality program for victims of violence, and outreach programs to youth, college students, veterans, and Iowans with disabilities that have earned national acclaim.
